I think the issue being reported is that "on wakeup, the shutdown dialog appears"? However the user has described it in terms of the timer and how quickly it shuts down, etc., which is not really the issue at all!
I strongly suspect that the issue is that on that particular laptop there is a problem in the suspend/resume code that accidentally triggers the shutdown dialog when resuming. It is important to report the actual bug (shutdown dialog appears on resume, when it should not), rather than have a bug report that describes a way in which someone thinks one could work around the problem (make the shutdown dialog need confirmation). Please confirm whether or not this is an accurate understanding of the underlying issue. If it is, please provide more detailed information on your laptop make/model etc., so that others have a chance of reproducing this issue. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- The "shut down the computer" dialog should not act on a timer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/308823 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
