Hi Charlie, After wake monitor is still in power save mode( Blank power light orange) All keyboard lights off and no response from mouse- laser of mouse is lit. Power light changes from blinking to steady on. After holding holding power button for ten seconds power light goes off and on restart all is normal.

After the restart, please attach /var/log/kern.log.0 Do you get a desktop back or a blank screen? The original report was a desktop that is complete with a mouse pointer.
