Please try the following: - Try to display the file on the screen with "evince <file>" and also with "gs -sDEVICE=x11 <file>". - Try also to display the file with "gv" and "xpdf" (you need to install these if they are not there). - If display with "gs" or "gv" fails, install GPL GhostScript ("sudo apt-get install gs-gpl") and try to display the file with this GhostScript version ("gs-gpl -sDEVICE=x11 <file>").
