styyle14, when the xserver starts next time it moves the previous Xorg.0.log 
file to Xorg.0.log.old. Therefore, next time you log in after a crash, grab 
that file. If in doubt, the time the log file was created is shown in one of 
the first lines of the file. Exampe:
(==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Wed Nov 12 17:07:03 2008

Could you also include the output of `lspci -vvnn`?

You write: "it would not load the gdm and after I logged in it would
crash and take me back to the login screen". How did you log in if gdm
didn't load?
