1. The problem is not that Kubuntu devs were too busy making things shiny they forgot to do core work. The problem is that bluez 3 was seriously broken with our current kernel (input devices of any kind would not work) and yet KDE upstream had not yet updated to work with bluez4. There really wasn't a good choice and the decision was made to update. This is an problem getting three upstreams synch'ed with our release schedule.
2. Does gnome-bluetooth work on Kubuntu? I gave it a short try yesterday and couldn't get it working in the time I had available. Before we'd consider switching, I think we should know it works. -- solid-bluetooth needs update for bluez 4.x https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/280997 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
