I'm experiencing this problem on a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop, which has an ATI Mobility Radeon X300 chipset. I have attached my Xorg.0.log file (produced using the daily build live CD of 15 October). This is from a straight boot, so with "normal" desktop effects and without proprietary drivers.
