Dimitrios, upon further investigation, USB appears to be broken under X. Also, not only USB, but I cannot use my ps/2 keyboard either. However, I'm typing this message from Lynx right now using a usb keyboard, but X is not running. These problems all began immediately after the update to kernel 2.6.27-7.
