Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox
My /home directory is nfs mounted on a few machines.

If firefox is running on one machine box,
and I try to start it on another, it complains and refuses
to start until it is closed on the first box. Understandable,
but annoying.

Occaisionally the lock gets corrupted and it thinks it's
running on another box, and refuses to start. Rebooting
does not help.

Had to get out the big hammer, and do a:

   rm -rf ~/.mozilla

that fixed it, and wiped out a bit of configuration I
would have preferred to keep, but it's working now.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
