Mackenzie: Finally, I found time to try the daily build (09/30)--sorry for the delay. Still no ALPS devices listed under /proc/bus/input/devices. Therefore, it's probably not necessary to do further tests. The patch that Matteo supplied worked perfectly on a 2.6.24 kernel. Can it be included in the current/future kernel? Looking at the patch it really just seems a matter of adding one line with the "ID code" of the new device for it to be recognized. --hasi
