Hello, I reported above my experiences with hardy; I have now moved to Intrepid with the latest kernel 2.6.27.
I confirm the bug. I still get random system lockups. Three times today, same symptoms. The third time it happened today something different did happen. No mouse clicks worked, yet the mouse cursor did continue to move for about 30 secs before also freezing. Again, the only way out is to hard restart the system, then it does th disk checks and FSCK fails.
