Now I am getting one reason why there is no progress on so many bugs: You triagers do your job, and then there happens simply nothing at all because there is no Ubuntu maintainer for the package, and the actual developer does not read the discussion.
This goes for evolution, which apparently has so many bugs reported in Launchpad that only the first 999 are counted. This also goes for essentials like https://bugs.launchpad.net/xkeyboard-config/+bug/261573. Marking this very basic bug report invalid is unfair and also very short-sighted. See it this way: There is a callcenter in your community which takes citizens' comments, like calls because of a leakage in water pipes. 3/4 of all tickets are never delivered to the people concerned because they use an incompatible reporting system. Is that a BUG in that system or something that should be "discussed" (thanks for that arrogant proposal, Chris!)? ** Changed in: ubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Confirmed ** Also affects: launchpad Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu is drowning in bugs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/248730 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
