Public bug reported: I have a IBM think center desktop with on board Intel 865 graphics. I also have in one of the pci slots a ATI Radeon 7000 with 2 ports.
Running Intrepid, if I try and configure X to use the both ports on the ATI card, X tries to start and then crashes with the following message on the top right of the primary screen:- P/N 113-PC0200-05E This used to work fine in Hardy. Below is a small table of what I have found:- Onboard + 1 ATI port = Works Onboard + ATI both ports = Crash ATI both ports = Crash ATI both ports but with bios set to make PCI primary graphics = Works Onboard + ATI both ports but with bios set to make PCI primary graphics = Blank screen so potential crash I have also attached my xorg.conf and log. You can see that it just hard locks after it tries to load the int10 module:- (II) Reloading /usr/lib/xorg/modules//libint10.so (II) RADEON(2): initializing int10 I have tested this with the older Hardy kernel as well and get the same result. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- X Server crashes with P/N 113-PC0200-05E https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271719 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
