It just didn't make sense to me to abbreviate such a short name, and the first time I looked for it in synaptic I couldn't find it because I was looking for a package named musescore. And it doesn't seem very drastic to me to add 3 characters to the package name. But if there are good reasons to keep it at mscore, that's ok with me.
