Job Description: - To participate in the improvement and localization to Bangla of Open Source software. - To translate from English to Bangla messages included in different Open Source computer programs. Translation of documentation for these programs and development of training modules. - Participation on the improvement of the English-Bangla computer glossary and, maybe work on a Bangla-Bangla computer dictionary. - Participation on the definition of translation rules for Bangla computer terms. - If asked, translation of web pages and/or other project documents into Bangla. - To perform effectively and in timely manner works assigned and undertake any other support duties as may be required from time to time by the reporting personal. Job Requirements: - Graduated from a renowned university. - Age 20 to 30 years. - Be motivated to work for a social project and to continue learning while working. - Adequate inter-communications skills. - Have a good level of computer literacy (Email, Internet, Mailing lists, Online forums, Blogs and etc). - Familiar with the GNU/Linux operating system will consider as an advantage. - Having a broader perspective of the use of Information Communication Technology for Development. - Good verbal and written communication skills in Bangla and English. - Good resource planning skills and ability to meet deadlines. - Have good proactive personality, self-initiative, time management and interpersonal skills, discipline, ability to work as part of a team member and under pressure, and be able to work with little supervision.
