Dear Colleague, I am very sorry to bother you. However, our School, the Dyson School of Design Engineering, is currently seeking invitations from outstanding applicants to fill a number of Ph.D. positions as part of the new I3-Lab. I would be very grateful if you could make any potential candidates, who you think might be interested, aware of this opportunity.
Founded in 2022 with a generous philanthropic donation, the Imperial I3-Lab is a joint initiative between Imperial College London, the IOTA Foundation, the Imperial College Transition to Zero Pollution initiative, and in collaboration with several industry partners. The mission of the I3-Lab is to act as a lighthouse for translational research activities in the area of the circular economy, the digital economy, the sharing economy, and in related areas. We are now hiring and welcome applications from candidates with a passion for technology and societal challenges. More specifically, we are currently seeking to recruit a number of Ph.D. candidates, to commence in October 2023 (latest January 2024) to work on projects in the areas of transportation and mobility; energy; food and health; and in circular economy models. A wide spectrum of projects are available ranging from: theoretical projects that concern the design of digital ledgers, digital twins, new digital market places, the mathematics of DLTs, as well as the use of control theory, game theory and machine learning techniques to design feedback policies, to more applied projects with our partners. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the societal issues; a driving ambition to explore the intersection between digital technologies and human behaviours; and have outstanding records of achievement. We are seeking candidates to work on the following projects: 1.Two posts as part of the Marie Curie Training network in the area of Circular Economy https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ucd.ie%2Flams%2Fvacancies%2Ficircular3doctoralnetwork%2F&data=05%7C01%7Cuai%40engr.orst.edu%7C14fde3aca4a4427e5d2808db352ce1dc%7Cce6d05e13c5e4d6287a84c4a2713c113%7C0%7C0%7C638162239111827444%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=Sv1UL5Xgk0RAgPbI2oLA5K4RdRUthcPIzFRaagrojpc%3D&reserved=0<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furlsand.esvalabs.com%2F%3Fu%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ucd.ie%252Flams%252Fvacancies%252Ficircular3doctoralnetwork%252F%26e%3D4f1cb2e8%26h%3Ddba1ca6d%26f%3Dn%26p%3Dy&data=05%7C01%7Cuai%40engr.orst.edu%7C14fde3aca4a4427e5d2808db352ce1dc%7Cce6d05e13c5e4d6287a84c4a2713c113%7C0%7C0%7C638162239111827444%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=69kJ49gxamgEDjb4e5ViLYnlHjWetVBWyvSJiLTtqWE%3D&reserved=0>.
