We invite applications for Five fully funded Ph.D. positions in Neuromorphic 
Commuting, AI, Robotics, and Machine Learning at  BMW AI Lab, RoboTac Team, 
Munich, Germany.

The Ph.D. positions are funded partly by our new European project “ PHASTRACT 
project ” and partly by the BMW.





Topics of Ph.D. positions:



  *   ​Topic 1: Visuo-Tactile robust perception and learning in Robotic 
application (f/m/d)
  *   ​Topic 2: Visuo-Tactile cross-modal perception and learning for 
Intelligent Interactive Robotic Systems (f/m/d)
  *   Topic 3: Counterfactual Perception and Learning for Intelligent Human 
Machine Interaction (f/m/d)
  *   Topic 4:  Neuromorphic computing based on oscillatory neural networks 
(ONNs) for multi-modal perception and Learning in robotics applications.
  *   Topic 5: Neuromorphic computing based on oscillatory neural networks 
(ONNs) for motion and path planning for robotic system

Eligibility

  *   Master's degree obtained from the top international universities in 
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Mathematics, Systems, and Control, or 
a related field.
  *   Strong mathematical background and a strong interest in AI, robotics and 
robot learning, Transfer Learning, machine learning, Deep Active Learning, 
Multi-modal Active Perception and Learning, AI-based Control Architecture, and 
Human-Machine Interaction.
  *   Extensive practical software development experience, preferably in C/C++ 
and Python required.
  *   Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow)
  *   It is plus to have a publication in top IEEE conferences such as ICRA, 
IROS, ICML, CVPR, NeurIPS or top journals such as T-RO, AURO, RAL, science 
robotics, etc. (Only for Ph.D. Candidates)
  *   Good teamwork and communication skills, and an independent and structured 
working style.
  *   Efficient communication skills in English. German is an advantage.
