The research group of Theoretical Computational Linguistics at the
Institute of Natural Language Processing, University of Stuttgart, is
looking to hire a postdoctocal researcher in (structured) machine
learning as a linking element between various research topics in the
group (start date: spring 2023).

Your background

* PhD in machine learning or related area
* Experience with structured prediction
  (in particular on graph outputs)
* Experience with, or interest in, solving
  NLP challenges with machine learning methods

The position

* 3-year postdoctoral researcher position at 100% TV-L 13,
  approx. 45-50kE/year before taxes, see [1] for details
* We support your effort to strengthen your profile as an
  independent researcher and encourage you to develop own
  research plans and submit grant proposals
* Goal: better understand the (structural) relations among
  NLP tasks better and find identify (machine learning)
  problem formulations
* can affiliate with existing projects such as
  MARDY [2] or CEAT [3]
