*Awards*
The AISTATS 2022 Test-of-Time Award goes to Zico Kolter (Carnegie Mellon
University) and Tommi Jaakkola (MIT) for their paper Approximate Inference
in Additive Factorial HMMs with Application to Energy Disaggregation.

4 papers were nominated for Best Paper Award (
http://aistats.org/aistats2022/awards.html). The winner will be announced
on Tuesday 29th.

*Community activities*
Events for attendees to socialize and learn from each other (

panel on Affinity Group Supported Pathways to ML Research, and a Women in
Machine Learning (WiML)-Caucus of Women in Statistics (CWS).

*Mentorship*
Young researchers are encouraged to attend the Mentorship Retrospectives
Workshop (http://aistats.org/aistats2022/mentorship.html). Mentoring
sessions will happen throughout the conference on https://mementor.net/#/,
including a session by Kevin Murphy.

*It is not too late to sign up to mentor. All MeMentor mentoring sessions
