Announcement of an open competition for the
position of the Director of the Institute of
Information Theory and Automation of the Czech Academy of Sciences
The Board of the Institute of Information Theory
and Automation of the Czech Academy of Sciences
(UTIA) announces an open competition for the
position of the Director of the Institute.
Requirements:
· legal capacity and moral integrity;
· fulfillment of the statutory conditions
according to Section 17 of (Czech) Act No. 341/2005 Coll., as later amended;
· completed higher education;
· Ph.D. degree or equivalent;
· scientific activity in one of the main
fields of the Institute, substantiated by
significant publications or other outputs with a
demonstrable impact on an international scale;
· organizational and communication skills and management experience;
· university teaching experience is an advantage.
The expected term of office is from May 1, 2022, to April 30, 2027.
Written applications with contact information should include:
- a structured professional CV (in Czech or English);
- an outline of a five-year concept for
the development of the Institute (in Czech or English);
- evidence of qualifications and
achieved scientific and scientific-teaching degrees;
- a list of important publications and
other outputs, including the number of citations
or other measures of significance;
- other relevant information and annexes, if any;
and be sent in electronic form (pdf format),
