December 2019 in Los Angeles, and invite original and unpublished papers in the

Co-hosted with IEEE CogMI (Cognitive Machine Intelligence), IEEE CIC 
(Collaboration and Internet Computing) and IEEE TPS (Trust, Privacy and 
Security of Intelligence Systems, and Applications).

 

Call for papers

 

Humans play a critical role in cyber security: as creator of the systems, as 
user of the systems, and occasionally as abuser of the systems. The 2019 Humans 
and Cyber Security (HACS-2019) will provide a forum where researchers and 
technical can share their latest research insights, and present key and 
emerging results in terms of humans and cyber security.

 

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

-          Human centric cyber security

-          Human behaviour in cyber security

-          Cyber psychology and cyber security

-          Human-machine interaction/collaboration from a security/privacy 
perspectives

-          Usable security/privacy by design 

-          Constructing user-centric privacy and security in mobile and IoT 
applications

-          Usability of online security indicators

-          Usable guidelines for security and privacy

-          Consumers’ views on privacy and security

-          Case studies in usable security and privacy

-          Ethical and policy dimensions related to human centric cyber security

-          Human cyber security issues, such as phishing, social engineering, 
insider threats, etc.

 

Submission guideline

 
The 2019 Humans and Cyber Security (HACS-2019) workshop calls for original and 
unpublished papers. Each paper can have at most 8 pages. The reviews will be 
double blind. The manuscripts should be formatted in the standard IEEE 
proceedings format (double-column, 10-pt font) and be submitted as PDF files 
(formatted for 8.5x11 inch paper) which can be found at: 
https://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html.

The Workshop papers will be published as part of the IEEE TPS proceedings.
