We are looking for a postdoc in decision making under uncertainty to join our group in the Oxford Robotics Institute at the University of Oxford. The post is fixed-term until 31st March 2021.
The ideal applicant will have expertise in modelling and solving problems as Markov decision processes, from either an AI, control or verification perspective. The successful applicant will help drive our research in probabilistic planning for single- and multi-agent systems operating in challenging environments and around humans. Our group’s work spans AI planning, probabilistic verification, and formal methods, so experience in one of these domains is desirable. The role will form a key part of our growing, energetic research group, with the applicant working with our students, research collaborators, and industrial partners. For our research group see: http://ori.ox.ac.uk/labs/goals/ <http://ori.ox.ac.uk/labs/goals/> For informal enquiries please contact Nick Hawes (ni...@robots.ox.ac.uk <mailto:ni...@robots.ox.ac.uk>, http://www.robots.ox.ac.uk/~nickh/ <http://www.robots.ox.ac.uk/~nickh/>) Closing date is 12.00 midday on 12th July 2019.
