For a short summary, please continue reading: To support the ICCAS project group Digital Patient and Process Model in tackling clinical decision support challenges, we are looking to hire a researcher (f/m) with a PhD-degree in computer sciences, information systems, medical informatics, mathematics, or a related field, with the following responsibilities: * Development and implementation of new concepts and methods as well as finalization of existing approaches to personalized, model-based clinical decision support * Work on a decision support system for clinical expert meetings in oncology discussing patients with cancer (tumor boards) * Acquisition of external funding * Writing of scientific publications and project reports as well as presentation at conferences * Conduction and supervision of feasibility studies and concept verification * Implementation of project- and application-oriented software in a team * Assistance in translating the software into the clinic * Establishment of interdisciplinary collaborations between computer scientists, engineers, physicians, and industry We offer a full-time contract from 1st of November, 2017 until the 31st of December 2018 (third-party money) with possible extension depending on the acquisition of further funding, payment according to the German tariff of public services (TV-L), family-friendly i.e. flexible working hours, and a very friendly and inclusive work environment.
