*IEEE ICMLA 2016 CALL FOR PAPERS*

Deadline Extended: July 25, 2016

The 15th IEEE International Conference on Machine Learning and Applications
(IEEE ICMLA'16) will be held in DoubleTree by Hilton, Anaheim, California,
USA, December 18-20, 2016. (http://www.icmla-conference.org/icmla16/)

The aim of the 15th IEEE International Conference on Machine Learning and
Applications is to bring together researchers working in the areas of
machine learning and applications. Recent emergence for big data processing
particularly brings the urgent need for machine learning to address
challenges raised from real-time and massive amount of data. The conference
will cover both machine learning theoretical works and applications.
Contributions describing machine learning (ML) techniques applied to
real-world problems, interdisciplinary research involving machine learning,
experimental and/or theoretical studies yielding new insights into the
design of ML systems, and papers describing development of new analytical
frameworks that advance practical machine learning methods are especially
encouraged.

The technical program will consist of, but not limited to, the following
topics of interest:

- case-based reasoning
- cognitive modeling
- computational learning theory
- cooperative & distributed learning
- inductive learning
- online and incremental learning
- reinforcement learning
- statistical learning
- hybrid learning algorithms
- evolutionary computation
- feature extraction and classification
- grammatical inference
- inductive logic programming
- knowledge acquisition and learning
- knowledge discovery in databases
- knowledge intensive learning
- knowledge representation and reasoning
- multi-agent learning
- multistrategy learning
- scalability of learning algorithms
- neural network learning
- plausible reasoning
- machine learning and natural language processing
- machine learning for web navigation and mining
- text and multimedia mining through machine learning
- machine learning for bioinformatics and system biology
- machine learning in energy applications
- machine learning for economics and business
- machine learning for game and problem solving
- machine learning for homeland security applications
- machine learning and information retrieval
- machine learning for intelligent virtual environments
