Lectureship in the Mathematics of Data Science Applications are invited for a lectureship in the Mathematics of Data Science. The University of Edinburgh and the School of Mathematics are partners in a consortium that will lead the UK's Alan Turing Institute, a major initiative that will drive research and investment in the data science area in coming years. We seek an outstanding candidate with either an existing track record of high-quality research in an area which is related to data science, or strong evidence of high research potential. Candidates from any relevant subject area of mathematics (pure or applied), statistics, or operational research will be considered. The successful applicant will be expected to carry out independent research and to contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
