--------------------------------------- ECMLPKDD 2015, the European Conference on Machine Learning and Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases, continues the journal track started at ECMLPKDD 2013 in collaboration with the Springer journals "Machine Learning" and "Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery" (http://www.ecmlpkdd2015.org/). The journal track invites high-quality submissions that present original work in the areas of data mining and machine learning. Accepted papers will be published in the respective journal and, moreover, a presentation slot at the ECMLPKDD 2015 conference will be offered to the authors. However, given the special nature of the ECMLPKDD 2015 journal track, only papers that naturally lend themselves to conference talks will be considered. For instance, neither journal versions of previously published conference papers nor survey papers will be considered for the special issue. Papers submitted to the journal track are supposed to handled fast, with an overall turn-around time of 8 weeks. Yet, due to possible delays or the need for revisions, inclusion of accepted papers in the 2015 edition cannot be guaranteed, especially for papers submitted after February. Nevertheless, such papers can be published in regular issues of the respective journal, or can be considered for ECMLPKDD 2016.
