Special Track on AI PLANNING AND SCHEDULING at FLAIRS-23: 23rd International Florida Artificial Intelligence Research Society Conference http://ktiml.mff.cuni.cz/~bartak/FLAIRS2010 Daytona Beach, Florida, USA May 19-21, 2010 Submission deadline: 23rd November, 2009 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Florida AI Research Society (FLAIRS) hosts the conference in cooperation with the Association for Advancements of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) since 1988 so FLAIRS is one of the oldest AI conferences. The 23rd conference is organized at Daytona Beach, Florida, USA in May 19-21, 2010. The special conference track on AI Planning and Scheduling welcomes papers from all areas of AI planning and scheduling. Papers bridging both areas and application papers are especially welcome. Pure scheduling and timetabling papers that use AI techniques such as constraint satisfaction or integrate with planning are also eligible. Topics of the special track include all aspects of planning and scheduling from theoretical studies to practical applications. Topics include (but are not limited to): o Applications and case studies from planning and scheduling o Methodologies and tools for specification, design, implementation, and validation of planning and scheduling systems o Constrained-based planning and scheduling o Search for planning and scheduling o Distributed and multi-agent planning and scheduling o Knowledge engineering techniques for planning and scheduling o Planning with resources and time constraints o Hierarchical task network planning o Dynamic scheduling o Mixed-initiative planning and scheduling o Plan and schedule execution, monitoring and repair o Planning and scheduling under uncertainty o Anytime and real-time planning and scheduling Publication and Paper Submission: Submitted papers must be original, and not submitted concurrently to a journal or another conference. Papers will be refereed and all accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings which will be published by AAAI Press. Authors can submit full papers (up to 6 pages) or poster papers (up to 2 pages). All papers must be formatted according to the AAAI guidelines. Fake author names and affiliations must be used on submitted papers, to provide double-blind reviewing. Papers must be submitted in PDF format through the EasyChair conference system which can be accessed through the main conference web site: http://www.FLAIRS-23.info. Authors of accepted papers will be required to sign a form transferring copyright of their contribution to AAAI. An author of each accepted paper is required to register and attend FLAIRS, and present the paper.
