POST DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE in DATAMINING and KNOWLEDGE DISCOVERY

The Computer Science Department at the University of California Davis
invites applications for a Post Doctoral Research Associate position
in the area of data mining and machine learning. We seek an individual
with background and expertise in network analysis, unsupervised
learning and outlier detection. We are particularly interested in
those individuals with an interest in exploring the use of these
techniques for autonomous knowledge discovery. Specifically, this
position will explore identification of variables that influence
adversarial behavior as part of a recently funded ONR project. Strong
and solid mathematical and statistical skills are necessary as are a
background in data-mining algorithms and excellent programming skills.
 In addition, applicants with a background and/or an interest in
cognitive science are encouraged apply, but this background is not
required. Candidates will have the opportunity to interact with a
multi-disciplinary team including the Office of Naval Research.  Send
