Sabine Bergler, Program Chair, AI 2008 ---------------------- Deadline extension: Papers due January 25, 2008. 21st CANADIAN AI --- AI for the 21st Century http://cs.uwindsor.ca/ai08/ Revised CALL FOR PAPERS AI'08, the twenty-first Canadian Conference on Artificial Intelligence, invites papers that present original work in all areas of Artificial Intelligence. In particular, papers that successfully apply historical AI techniques to modern problem domains and recent techniques to historical problem settings are encouraged. Topics include, but are not limited to: Knowledge Representation Machine Learning Robotics Agent Systems Web Applications Constraint Satisfaction Natural Language Uncertainty AI applications E-Commerce Automated Reasoning User Modeling Games Smart Graphics Neural Nets Information Processing Data Mining Search Information Retrieval Multi-media Processing Case-based Reasoning Bioinformatics Planning Speech Processing Information Mining Evolutionary Computation BioNLP Cognitive Models Papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee members and judged according to their originality, technical merit and clarity of presentation. Accepted papers are allocated a maximum of 12 pages in the proceedings. The conference proceedings will be published as Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence by Springer and have to be formatted accordingly. Papers can only be included in the Proceedings upon registration of at least one author. Papers submitted to AI'2008 must not have been accepted for publication elsewhere or be under review for another conference. Best paper and best student paper awards will be presented.
