FYI, the FEC works fine for me in U-Boot for another i.MX25 board using a Micrel PHY. That required some patches for 2012.07, but they are now in u-boot/master. There are also some i.MX25 patches in u-boot-imx/next that might help, but I don't think that they were needed to make FEC work. However, I haven't updated yet to 2012.10-rc3, so there might be a regression somewhere, or an issue with the PHY.
