I have nothing against compromizes. But are you soure about the "everyone" in the second sentence? I think we know a few guys who mightnot. And actually it might backfire as well - I see JC argumenting: now they (finally!) support the one true image format, no let's throw out their stupid uImage support, nobody needs this any more.
