It was quite a while ago, but the patch sets Falcon mode, and it tries to boot the kernel. Kernel is not in filesystem, but stored at a fixed address on the SD card (0x1000). The error you reported seems when U-Boot is starting - by pressing 'c' or if no kernel is stored. I have to find back the wandboard I used to try a run...
