Adlon has released a brief statement, in which I infer there will be something
more detailed later.

But the former DID comment on "the rumors" before it hit the NY Times.

Two people whose reactions I've been wondering about through this: Pamela
Adlon and Jim Norton. Here's the latter.

But his “apology” promoted all his current projects!
First apology I’ve seen to basically feature product placement

Now FX has dropped all association with CK. And HBO has deleted all of his

Marc Maron said in a Tweet that he will discuss CK in detail in an upcoming
podcast. As their relationship has been through highs and lows, his take should
be an interesting one... I suspect he will try and get some of those CK
harassed on the show.
CK’s business model is ultimately a greater legacy than his actual comedy. He
was the first to eschew a standard record deal or half-hour TV special to
produce and distribute his material online. One doesn’t need to be a fan or
defender of his to copy his formula and find success as a less pervy comic.
Beyond that, the comedy world will be unaffected by his absence.

LCK cancelled his scheduled appearance on Colbert last night. The NYT short
piece described Colbert as going easy on him:  https://www.nytimes.com/2017/
11/10/arts/television/late- night-louis-ck.html

Here is what Colbert said, about a third of the way through the monologue:

“For those of you tuning in to see my interview with Louis C.K. tonight, I have
some bad news. Then I have some really bad news. Louis canceled his appearance
here tonight because The New York Times broke this story today: Five women are
accusing Louis C.K. of sexual misconduct. When reached for comment, Jesus said,
‘La la la la la, I don’t want to hear about it, I was a big fan.’”

WhenI watched it I was of two minds - at first I was not sure if he would even
acknowledge it (William H Macey took his place), so I was glad to see the
reference (the Jesus going La la la la thing is a call back to a joke earlier
in the monologue). But I did notice that he went immediately into a bit making
fun of a Keith Urban song. Its not that the song didnt deserve to be made fun
of (kind of like a country “We Didn’t Start the Fire” in praise of womanhood)
but it was kind of jarring that he spent so much more time making fun of a good
guy whose heart was in the right place doing something a little goofy than he
did of a horrible guy doing something creepy and assualtive. As the NYT piece
notes, Colbert is a long time friend of LCK.

Apparently TDS and Seth Meyers also had one brief joke about LCK last night.
I am not too worried that we are going to be going easy on LCK - as I think the
Vox piece I read put it, LCK is done. But unlike with HW, this really is a case
where many in the comedy world are going to find it difficult to go after LCK
with as much gusto as they do other creeps. I get it, I am bummed and confused
too, but not as much I suspect as the many women who were forced to watch and
listen to him masturbate and ejaculate over himself, and then intimidated into
not telling anyone, and in some cases getting chased out of the comedy world.
