Well, I guess I am into jokes about those kinds of people. I am also into jokes about dictators who order the executions of journalists who defy them and insurance companies who profit off the terminal illnesses of children without paying for needed medical care. I don't think Jones somehow buys immunity from ridicule because he is a horrible excuse for a human being.
Satire and ridicule from John Oliver is not going to end Putin or cancel Jones - nor should it. That would be too much power to give a skinny guy with a little cable comedy show. Their true believers will continue to be true. It does contribute though to a better and broader understanding not just of why these people are horrible, but of the kinds of people who are enabling them.
