Many here may have seen a FB post from someone reporting to have been on scene (a backup singer or dancer I think) - a friend of mine who knows the person sent it to me. The gist was pro-MC's version - maybe not an actual conspiracy to sabatgoe her, but negligence in attending to tech problems apparent at rehearsal, which the FB poster insisted MC was present and fully engaged in.
I don't care enough about MC to get to excited about this, except as I noted earlier, I wish they could change the nature of televised "mini-concerts". If I want to hear MC's albulm track from the Bill Clinton administration (I don't), I will buy it and listen on my nice headphones. If she is going to give a concert on tv, then I want to hear how she interprets and delivers songs today. Whatever her voice may have lost in technical purity no virtuosity, presumably it has picked up something from experience. If it hasn't, then she should not be singing on television.
