Colbert's show was just weird. The monologue was terrible and felt days 
old, which was contrary to what he'd said to Terry Gross about making it as 
up-to-date as possible. The rest of the show - particularly the panel with 
Mark Halperin and John Heilemann - was just shell-shocked and depressed. He 
gave a pep talk at the end, but the whole thing seemed to me to be intended 
to be celebratory and got turned into a funeral no one wanted to be at. I 
have no idea what it's going to seem like by Friday.
