Those who don’t watch Fox News ought to. Until I started watching, I was clueless about where certain people were being indoctrinated with erroneous information, especially about the current administration. Yes, Fox has managed to “discover” a number of African American “pundits” – both male and female – to badmouth the President. The police chief from a town in Michigan, I believe, is especially awful.
Any pundit who tries to say something positive about a Democrat is quickly cut off. And – a half hour doesn’t go by that the audience isn’t told that Hillary’s next pants suit will be orange. He’s not a pundit, but recently Richard Dreyfuss was a guest on the Kelly File – to explain what he was doing at a Ted Cruz event. When Megyn Kelly asked him what he now thought of Cruz, he managed to get out: “he sounds just as silly in person as he sounds on TV” – before he was quickly cut off and the segment was ended. She had posted a Tweet the day before one of the debates about how she wasn't looking forward to having to watch another one. I told her she didn't have to, which is when she told me she appears on shows to talk about them. I told her you couldn't pay me enough to do that, which is when she said she doesn't get paid. Looking into it, most on those panel shows do it for the self-promotion (talk shows sometimes offer a small "stipend"). These people go on TV and talk-radio for free and make asses of themselves, and I'm guessing -- like the woman I spoke with -- many can barely stomach doing it, but they have to keep their names "out there" in the media zeitgeist. There but for the grace of God... On Sat, Feb 20, 2016 at 8:38 PM, Steve Timko <[email protected]> wrote: Since Nevada was in the campaign news, I checked out coverage today. I don't have cable or satellite. I switched between MSNBC and FOX. MSNBC has a few clowns on staff, but the guests I saw, for the most part, are solid. FOX has many clowns on staff (they made Jon Stewart's job so easy) but where the hell do they get these guests? Honestly, I could put an ad on Craigslist and get more knowledgeable people. The best guest I saw on FOX, I believe he was Charlie Black, was great, but the host kept getting in his way. The ratings for FOX are solid. It's hard to argue with success. I'm not in anyone's desired demographic, so my opinion matters little. Sent from TypeApp <http://www.typeapp.com/r> -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
