Surprisingly news-less piece, considering the story is in their backyard; it seems to be a week old, but but the dateline reads 7:00 am this morning. Most interesting tidbit that I had not seen before is that Leno offered to work for free to save more jobs, but NBC refused because it did not like the precedent it would set. Repeats and extends the distortion that local station managers demanded that Conan be replaced because his ratings were hurting them; at least all that was made public at the time was that local station managers were demanding that the Jay Leno Show be taken off the air because it was killing the local news ratings.. -- TV or Not TV ....
