This kind of thing obscures so much more than it illuminates, that I am not
sure what the point is. Augusta has long had a ban on women joining their
club; the late night tv programs have not. Augusta has been run by men;
Late Show has long been practically dominated by women in positions of
power, and of course Leno's initial late night career was micro-managed by
a woman.

Yes, we know women are underrepresented in writers rooms of television
comedy programs; there are probably several reasons for this, none of which
are that women are not funny, but also none of which are that women have
been prohibited from working in those rooms (I am pretty sure Leno has had
women in the room in the past, we know Dave has, I don't know about the
other two). The parallel between the situation in late night comedy and
Augusta National is similar to the parallel between blacks being banned
from MLB before Jackie Robinson and there only being one black guy on the
US Olympic Swimming Team.
