This mostly concerns Pali, but here's my 2¢
If the KABC plugin hasn't been in any release, i'd depend the strategy on
desire and schedule to "port" it to Qt5
If there's no prospection for support in Qt5, i'd recommend to
1. drop it
2. make a final Qt4 supporting release
3. deprecate Qt4
The reason is simply that otherwise, if a removal must be expected for
future relases because either Pali lost interest (eg. using abook or
akonadi) or we won't have a port, this would be perceived as a feature
loss, ie. regression.
If there's a roadmap to a Qt5 port for the KABC addressbook, I'd suggest to
1. make a final Qt4 supporting release
2. deprecate Qt4
3. add KABC port before the next release
Cheers,
Thomas
