OK, Christopher, below are the results after removing radeon.dpm=1 and radeon.audio=0.
Each time this happens, the screen glitches. It seems to be triggered by something in the audio. HDMI audio keeps showing up in the list of audio devices, even when radeon.audio was 0. I also started my Bluetooth A2DP headset, which may have triggered (why, I can't imagine) the switching on & off of the HDMI audio. BTW, the temperature & power consumption _without_ radeon.dpm=1 is almost exactly the same as _with_ radeon.dpm=1. Has dpm=1 become the default?
