With some help from another Ubuntuforums member, 1fallen, I was given this info page from askubuntu http://askubuntu.com/questions/768849/how-to-reverse-proposed-channel-package-upgrade which I followed and successfully managed to get my machine back to where I thought it was before this surprise discovery of "proposed" being enabled. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to software-properties in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1592427 Title: I can't disable proposed updates Status in software-properties package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Hi!!
