But why didn't you test on 4.1.30 ? Are you saying this bug does _not_ exist in the stable, widely used 4.1.30 release ? If not, that would be quite interesting because tomcat is a java program and should theoretically have the same behavior on all platforms. By the way, I found the bug on JDK 1.4.2 on OS X 10.3.2.
