It means exactly what is says... "Sorry, I [qmail-remote] wasn't able to establish an SMTP connection [to the remote mail server]". This means one of the following: a) The server is down/not accepting connections b) There is network trouble between your mail server and the remote mail server Nothing more, nothing less. Bill
