Thanks Maciej, Interesting, didn't realize this was a big topic in the
email community. It's also interesting that email from a friend who's
company uses MS Exchange doesn't have the info in the header.
Not that MS is very good at following the RFC's, but interesting.
I can understand that the server header is of importance as well as the
email address of the client. But the internal/external address of the
client machine seems pretty useless for the email piece. The actual
server is going to log all that info, so it could be had easily enough
for an admin who might be troubleshooting things. But it doesn't seem
like the recipient needs to know that info. It actually seems as though
the recipient could only use it for malicious activity and would have no
legitimate use for it.

Thanks for the attitude!, I didn't really need a lesson in NAT or

of concern here..
No need to get upset because... [read below]
I simply had a question of the possibility of removing those lines from
the header. I get email from other people using other MTA's that do not
have that information, so some servers can remove it or possibly just
don't add it.
If those MTAs do that, they are doing a bad thing [tm]. Please note that
gmail is doing it and is being criticized for it. You got a discouraging
response because in the community is thought that it should not be done.
It sounds like, at least from your knowledge, that it's not possibly to
remove it in qmail.
I belive in any MTA there is no option to do it except modyfing the source.
Best regards,
Maciej
