Not sure what version it was, the server is about 18 months in production now though so it was a while back, fairly early version I would imagine. I keep the old compiles of the mail server in /usr/local/src and when I first discovered I was relaying I rolled back to the older copy there without the 0.5 patch and it did not have the SMTP-AUTH problem (tested with telnet), when I put the newer version back the problem was there and the hostname fixed it right away.
