In https://sourceforge.net/p/tmux/tickets/97/ there was a feature added to
return to the most recently used pane when switching back up between splits. I
would love it if there was a way to revert this to the old behavior. I have
found that this makes navigating more confusing and sometimes take more
keypresses. Here is an example:
Start:
+--+--+
|C | |
+--+--+
| | |
+--+--+
Down:
+--+--+
| | |
+--+--+
|C | |
+--+--+
Right:
+--+--+
| | |
+--+--+
| |C |
+--+--+
Up:
+--+--+
|C | |
+--+--+
| | |
+--+--+
Right:
+--+--+
| |C |
+--+--+
| | |
+--+--+
The last right movement shouldn't be needed here. I've found with even more
complex pane setups it gets even more confusing and I end up switching to a lot
of unexpected panes. It would be awesome if this was exposed as a user
configurable setting. Such as `remember-panes`.
Thanks for your consideration!
