Dear All, I've adapted the <<.tip >> macro to feature the fav icon and used it as bullet points in an experiment. <<.fav "foo bar">> now renders the cat and the text instead of the lightbulb (find attached)
I started out thinking that the icon would represent a "voice" within the text, and that the text would be in a speech bubble: being a non-linear thinker looking for for a name for a new macro I occurred to me that maybe the iconic cat could have a name and a distinctive voice, separate from the tone used in documentation. The literary device is employed in texts like Douglas Hosftader's Godel Esher Bach and Stafford Beer in is "Later in the bar" dialogues. I was also thinking of different views of the cat, a head shot where it looks cute and rounded, looking at the viewer in a Bigette Bardot kind of way. The blue cirlce aspect of the favicon evokes Blue Note Records kind of aesthetic. I adapted the fav macro.... the <<.tiddles "for bar">> just for fun: I was thinking about the cut and paste aesthetic of the fanzine... The voice needs to be distant from the world of computers and be able to carry and signal a degree of irony... [image: Inline images 5] Anyway, if there was an suitably stylish kittens face looking towards the text, it might do the job better than below and not infringe copyright as above.
