I added to the Pattern so the local system wiki could be included too ... pattern="^\ *(\$|https?|ftp|file|news|data|mailto):.+$" It is NOT a solution as the trim [] makes $: unusable. BUT my key point is that your concept behind this tool idea is right-on-the-ball. It is a very elegant, simple, idea that I hope will develop into a full-scale utility!
