Nice writeup, Marcus. I'll add a few bits ...

Get me with Fuji (opener)

this one has a real abstract opening segment. it reminded of old slip shows when they noodled around for a bit, setting a mood before the opening tune. it took 5-10 minutes before the fuji melody emerged.

Acoustic vocal tune I didn't recognize.

the played 'soft machine' at some point. maybe it was here.

the 'So Dope' that followed was organized into solos much like Yellow
Medicine. I didn't remember that structure in priori versions. Fine
solos from all.

Poor Boy

the really rocked out the middle of this one. very impressive.

Awesome newer tune written by Andrew -- had a little reggae flavor to it, and featured great guest trumpeter whose name escapes me.

his first name is Mark.

Rhythm-a-ning

I hadn't heard this one in a long long time. Lots of trumptet

Children of December

this tune is just fantastic. brad gave my new daughter mal a mention. she is a feb 29 baby.

Encore was an awesome version of Happiness is a Warm
Gun. I think there was a quote of the Star Spangled
Banner at some point -- a friend wondered if the
linking of these two songs was a political statement.

i figured it was a gift to brad and andrew's dad. it was his birthday. he was probably a young stallion when this tune came out. today he is a slightly older stallion.
