After today's updates (TexLive 2012 on Fedora 17), I now get the following error:
This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-2.5-1.40.13 (TeX Live 2013/dev) restricted \write18 enabled. ---! /home/mef3/.texlive2012/texmf-var/web2c/pdftex/pdflatex.fmt doesn't match pdftex.pool (Fatal format file error; I'm stymied) The trick from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=745765#c1doesn't seem to work this time ... why does this sort of thing keep happening?
